Penn Engineering is where the next great breakthroughs happen. Standing shoulder to shoulder with best-in-class schools in every discipline, we collaborate to solve society’s grand challenges.

We have created a hotspot for creative thinking, and now is the time to accelerate innovation and the process of turning conceptual ideas into practical inventions. We will leverage momentum on two fronts: harnessing a new abundance of data to engineer solutions to pressing social and health problems; and developing technology and systems that more efficiently generate, convert and store energy.

The Power of Penn Campaign will create new faculty positions and expand student opportunities with an eye to the pivotal role engineering will play in society in the coming decades. The Campaign will allow us to build spaces to take data science to the next level and develop predictive models, allowing Penn to invent an extraordinary future with broad socio-economic impact.

CAMPAIGN GOAL: $170,000,000

Campaign Priorities

  • Add revolutionary spaces for education, research, and technology innovation, including research and instructional labs, collaborative spaces for students and active learning classrooms.
  • Expand our exceptional faculty—who enable our vision and nurture innovative thinkers—by growing their numbers from 113 to 150, including 20 new endowed positions.
  • Unleash greater technology innovation and entrepreneurship by creating more opportunities for Penn Engineering students and enabling them to network with the burgeoning tech ecosystem in Philadelphia.
