The Central Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR) at the University of Pennsylvania is dedicated to establishing and maintaining strategic relationships between Penn and a wide range of local and national corporations and foundations.
We focus specifically on identifying and connecting prospective partners with Penn leaders and faculty members who have shared interests and complementary goals.
Our expertise covers Penn’s teaching, research, and public service activities as well as knowledge of the University’s broader institutional needs for endowed faculty positions, student scholarship support, and capital needs. This knowledge enables our Office to direct prospective partners to those opportunities best suited to their research and philanthropic objectives.
CFR is part of the Office of Development and Alumni Relations (DAR), and works closely with development staff at each of Penn’s Schools and Centers. We work to promote University priorities as defined by the Board of Trustees, the President, the Provost, and the Deans and Directors of Penn’s Schools and Centers. We also coordinate our efforts with the Vice Provost for Research and the Office of Research Services to identify the office most appropriate to handle applications and awards.
- Foundation Relations informs philanthropic organizations about research, programming, and outreach activities at the University of Pennsylvania that align with private foundations’ funding interests.
- Corporate Relations helps connect corporate giving offices to Penn faculty, schools, and centers whose work matches a corporation’s philanthropic priorities.
